Problem: on transferring token from floppy drive get error message: 68 Device unavailable , or Error executing ccmove - error number 100/2

Here is a transcript of an email correspondence which should help you solve problems when trying to transfer the Copy Control software token from the floppy drive to the program directory on your computer.

If none of the suggestions work, please contact us.

Peter:

I received the copy of version 5.02 that you sent me today.
However I ran into a problem when loading it onto my computer. The install off the CD went fine. However when the time came to transfer the token I ran into a problem. When clicking on the source drive a Visual Basic 6.0 Setup Toolkit window opened with the following error message: 68Device unavailable. I tried the manual move of the token using ccmove, but was thwarted there as well with the error message: Error executing ccmove - error number 100/2. I had followed the website instructions for cleaning out version 5.01 before I did the install. I'm running Microsoft Windows XP Professional ver 5.1.2600 Service Pack
1.

Hi Rick - looks to me as if your computer is not recognising your floppy drive. Does the floppy drive show up if you open My Computer or your Explorer ? What sort of floppy drive is it? Any chance of swapping it or trying another USB external floppy drive ? I am also copying this to Giuliano in case he has any suggestions - but it is late here so he probably won' t look at his email until tomorrow. Sorry you've had a problem. Please let us know again if these ideas do not work.

All the best,

Peter.

Peter:

I did figure out what the issue was during the token transfer. When I initially took the floppy disk out of the CD jewel case part of one of the tabs that was holding the floppy disk on the back of the CD carrier broke off and was attached in the round hole on the floppy disk case. Once I noticed the bit of plastic and picked it out with tweezers the drive recognized the floppy disk and the install completed.
