Pore-Ped is a programme which allows calculation of water retention curves for any English, Welsh or American soil. The English and Welsh soils are calculated from the NSRI pedo-transfer function of Jarvis and Mayr (Geoderma). The American soils are calculated from the UNSODA database. The wetting angle and surface tension of the water can be changed, and a user's own data input very easily. The programme outputs data suitable for input to Pore-Cor.
