Pore-Core Research Suite was developed by the Enivronmental and Fluid Modelling Group, University of Plymouth. Specialist equipment is available for the characterisation of porous materials. Equipment has been purchased from Micromeritics - see porosimetry, pycnometry , and surface area .

Other equipment that is available:-

• APEX porosimeter, capable of giving high precision data up to realtively low intrusion pressures.
• Half-metre scale precision lysimeter, which gives us information about fluid flow in sand and soil blocks. The results are compared with predictions by Pore-Cor after upscaling.
